DDB RECEIVES THE ONLY GOLD FOR LATVIA IN GOLDEN HAMMER

Despite the old saying that silence is golden, we’re not going to keep quiet this time. We are truly proud of the golden hammer award that we received at the Golden Hammer festival. The award was received for our social project, “Goods of Latvia” – a PR project which we organised together with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tritone Studio, and other initiators and participants in the project. We are delighted not just about the award, but also about the results of the campaign and the lightning-quick way in which the movement developed.
Finalist diplomas were received by the Rīga Marathon as the first cultural marathon in the world, and by the Maxima and Ziedot.lv interactive stand, “Help Youngsters from Poor Families Stand Up”. The full list of Golden Hammer winners can be found here. This year we were pleased not just about our ability to crawl out of the local duck pond and take part in an international battle, but also about the fact that we ourselves created the Golden Hammer idea about a local sandbox, duck pond and playground. We built it, we climbed out of it.
This year there were 14 finalists from Latvia in the Golden Hammer awards, with one winning the golden hammer, and four winning silver hammers. The festival was held in Jūrmala, and the nominations were evaluated by four international juries.
