For The First Time In Latvia – Startup Brands ranking!

The sign up process for the first Latvian Startup brands ranking has begun. This means that, until 10th August, startups that are both brave and passionate can fill in the form at www.zimolutops.lv/startup and claim their place at the top, amongst the best.

The first Startup brands ranking is the little brother of Baltijas Miletako zimolu tops 2017 (The most beloved brands in Latvia 2017) and was created with the help of Accenture Latvia, the Latvian Startup association and DDB Consulting. Its goal is to popularize new and strong startup companies – heroes that have great export potential and a head full of ideas, realized with modern technologies.

The Startup brands ranking will let lesser-known startups gain their shot at fame, whilst providing larger and more experienced companies with an excellent chance to find potential partners for collaboration. We believe that by starting the Startup brands ranking, we will successfully combine experienced, large companies with brave, up-and-coming startups, and together create miracles in the Latvian business environment!

Both a panel of judges and a popular vote, in collaboration with Delfi, will rank the brands. The panel of judges consists of professionals from the fields of technologies, marketing and business, as well as celebrities in the startup world – Daniels Pavluts (Startin.lv), Anna Andersona (Froont, Mill), Aija Perta (Rubylight), Ingmars Pukis (LMT), Toby Moore (Imprimatur Capital), Juris Vaskans (Altum), Janis Rancans (LATBAN), Madara Ambrena (Ministry of Economics) and Andris Rubīns (DDB Latvia).

When both the people and the judges have spoken, during the annual celebration for Baltijas Miletako zimolu tops on 28 September, we will announce the leaders of the first Latvian Startup brands ranking– the best of the best, who will have the honour to call themselves the most beloved Latvian startups.

The most beloved brands have been ranked since 2004 and the ranking serves as an important control point for representing the views of the consumer. Every year Baltijas Miletako Zimolu tops creates a new category – in 2016 it was the “Top eco-friendly brands” ranking, this year – the Startup brands ranking.
