Ventspils venti

Ventspils is a self-sufficient city. Or rather — a city-state. Or even — a state within a state. Therefore, when Ventspils asked us how the city could attract more tourists and businesses, the answer was simple: let’s act like a state — let’s print our own money. 
As a result, almost 10 million vents ended up in circulation. Vents are a fully accepted currency throughout the state of Ventspils at more than 40 tourist sites, hotels, cafés, museums, sports clubs and souvenir stores.
