We have awaited and celebrated the 20th anniversary of DDB Latvia. This may seem to be nothing special, seeing lots of companies commemorating their 20th anniversary this year, but in our case those were not simple or ordinary years. They were 20 saturated and colourful years with vivid personalities, talented people, riddles posed by hundreds of companies, as well as purposeful, surprising and entertaining ideas and projects. Twenty years with full range of emotions – tensions and ease, fails and wins, smiles and tears.
During these 20 years, we have ensured that by understanding human behaviour, dreams and needs, we can develop brands that are purposeful, respected and loved, that advertising can be awaited with joy, that something as pragmatic as effectiveness can be demonstrated excitingly, that a brand can encourage people stop complaining and believe more in their own strengths and abilities, that Latvia’s people can join together to help those who face problems, that the support of graduates for their alma mater can, with the help of game elements, be turned into a success story and an example for schools and universities elsewhere in the world, that we can be most proud of what has been imagined, created and produced here in Latvia, and that creativity allows us to achieve great things.
Therefore, I would like to thank Edgars Skulte for establishing the agency and putting it on stable tracks. Thanks to the DDB team – people who are constantly posing questions, love to dig deep, push the envelope, and do work from the bottom of their hearts. Thanks to each and every one of you for being together with us and helping us to become what we are today. May our trip continue to be adventurous and exciting!
