ANNIVERSARY BREAKFAST – OH, SO TASTY!
Who would have believed it? We have just had our 20th Champion Breakfast! The process began five years ago with the aim of inspiring, educating and informing DDB Latvia clients, partners and friends about the latest trends and success stories in the field of marketing and its related sectors.
The menu for the 20th Champion Breakfast focused on searches and experimentation. The starter was a set of ideas from DDB Latvia creative director Vairis Strazds about the unchangingly changing and influential David Bowie, whose exhibition Vairis visited in Berlin. “Should you be visiting the Netherlands this autumn, definitely go and see the exhibition,” he recommended.
The first course allowed Ģirts Majors to talk about how to turn a hobby into a business. It seems that his success is based on pursuing ideas that occurred to him when he was still in high school in Saldus. The second course offered tasty discoveries from Shipsi about how to turn one’s everyday into a set of surprises. “Don’t wait for accidents, go and find them if you think that you can interact with them” – that’s approximately what Shipsi said about how to pursue one’s ideas. For dessert we served a story by Purvītis Prize winners Katrīna Neiburga and Andris Eglītis about art, garages and the Venice Biennale – a simple, realistic, slightly bitter, but also beautiful tale.
On this anniversary, we can look back at our achievements with much satisfaction, but even more we can focus on the future, because trends, success stories, searches and experimentation never end! See you at the 21st Champion Breakfast!
