Breakfast of Champions #30 - economics, rebranding and coffee

On the 1st of December we had our 30th Breakfast of Champions! The location was a place perfectly designed for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and conversations - Rocket Bean Roastery on Miera Street.

In charge of the menu were two gentlemen and a lady. By incorporating their passion for food, a professional attitude and the newest trends, they were able to concoct such a bouquet of tastes that it could have easily won a Michelin star. That’s our humble opinion.

The intellectual entrée was served by advisor Andris Strazds from the Bank of Latvia. And it was a mentally filling course. He posed the question: Why does the average Latvian believe that everything is going downhill when research shows that actually life has never been better? Possibly, because as a whole Europe is exiting the spotlight and global eyes are turning towards Asia.

The main course was served by the Head of Marketing and Communications at Circle K - Kristīne Lazdiņa, who shared her experience of successfull rebranding. The transition from Statoil to Circle K was undoubtedly the biggest rebranding event of the year. Dessert was served by our gracious host, the owner of Rocket Bean Roastery Mārtiņš Dzenis. Mārtiņš introduced us to his passion and the protagonist of his business — coffee.
