During the 20-year history of DDB Latvia, we have never worked with the pharmaceutical sector, and so we welcome the opportunity to develop the Euroaptieka brand and to freshen up the communications of pharmacies. “The pharmaceutical sector has plenty of powerful and ambitious participants, but at the same time, people do not consider pharmacy brands to be unique, thus choosing the pharmacy that is closest to their place of employment or home,” says Euroaptieka sales and marketing director Evita Birzniece. “That’s why we looked for help in developing the Euroaptieka brand, and we very much hope that together with DDB Latvia, we will be able to raise it to a new level.”
“We are truly delighted that we have a new and targeted partner and the ability to work with pharmacies and the pharmaceutical sector – something that we have never done before,” says DDB Latvia executive director Andris Rubīns. “The DDB Latvia team has always enjoyed challenges, and this is one of them – ensuring uniqueness for the broad and changing people’s ideas about pharmacies.”
Euroaptieka offers good pharmaceutical care and services, helping people to be healthy and to feel well. There are 52 Euroaptieka pharmacies in Latvia, and it is one of the largest pharmaceutical networks in the country, with some 500 employees in all. The brand belongs to the Euroapotheca company, which owns nearly 450 pharmacies in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and Ukraine.
