DDB Latvia triumphs "Password EFFIE 2014"

Already for the third year in a row, DDB Latvia is most awarded agency in the competition of marketing achievements "Password EFFIE 2014". The winner of the business category is the rebranding campaign of LMT. And for the low-budget Category – Statoil ”Road companions” campaign. This year’s successes allowed DDB Latvia to keep the title of the “all-time most awarded agency” in the 10 year long history of “Password EFFIE”. Over the years we have received 4 Grand Prix and 16 of the submitted campaigns have made it into the finals.
For a half of the year, nearly everyone in the agency was involved with the LMT rebranding project on daily basis. The project was large-scale and very ambitious with a clear aim - to create the greatest campaign in the history of telecommunications industry. The campaign was proven to be very successful by positive opinions and reviews from various sources, great business results, and now it’s also asserted by the jury of “Password Effie 2014”.
On the other hand, Statoil “Road companions” campaign was unique with its scheme how the participating drivers could get a discount for their fuel. The idea is simple - the more road companions, the bigger discount the driver receives. The price cut had to be earned, so this campaign became a good indicator of the creativity Latvians have. One driver persisted to count in its doggy as a companion, but a pregnant lady enquired - how exactly are you going to count now? Not to mention the man who arrived at the station with a catafalque car. The results have followed!
The goal of the “Password” is to identify the most effective marketing campaigns and bring out the best cases of advertising and marketing activities that create a real added value to business. The competition is organized in cooperation with the American Marketing Association, hence the campaigns are evaluated by the international EFFIE criteria. EFFIE is one of the most prestigious marketing efficiency competitions that are held in 30 countries worldwide.
