PASAULES OPTIKA: A REFLECTION OF YOUR PERSONALITY

A year has passed since we have worked with and looked in the same direction as Latvia’s oldest eyeglass manufacturer and retailer, Pasaules Optika. We have done very good work to create new brand foundations and the creative concept “A Reflection of Your Personality.”
You have probably seen one of our airy videos, in which humans are filled up with projections of their unique experience – moods, excitements, dreams and interests. It seems that the prism that was created by the DDB Latvia team has helped people to see the Pasaules Optika brand identity much more clearly, and that has been reflected in excellent business results.
“When we designed the new Pasaules Optika concept in partnership with DDB Latvia, we doubted its sustainability,” says Pasaules Optika marketing director Anna Mūrniece. “We had been concentrating on our offer – discounts and special prices, as opposed to communicating our brand values. The risk that we took on changing the concept of the network has proven itself, however, and we finished last year with excellent results. We have also received positive references from our clients for offering a special ‘face’ for the Pasaules Optika network.”
Perhaps not everyone knows about the unique origins of Pasaules Optika. Its origins were quite academic. At the Department of Optometry of the University of Latvia, employees were the first in Latvia and among the first in Europe in separating between vision adjustment and medical treatment. Eyeglass shops used to be in clinics, and they were closely linked to medicine. Pasaules Optika turned them into salons, thus becoming the first eyeglass fashion embassy in Latvia. Glasses do not just help to improve vision problems, they are also a tasteful accessory for the eyes, allowing each and every wearer of glasses to express and emphasise his or her personality.
