INDEPENDENCE: BREAKING OUT WITH LMT

We can once again be proud of our achievements. The LMT INDEPENDENCE video once again proves the beauty and inspiration of results if the reins are held by a courageous team. LMT certainly has one.
“Internet telephony INDEPENDENCE is another LMT revolution to change the rules in Latvia’s telecommunications sector,” says our creative director, Vairis Strazds. “That is why we looked for emotionally effective visual and textual codes for the campaign – ones that stand opposite to accustomed and stable comfort and lead people to move and go forward.”
The video makes use of a poem called "Steering Wheel" by one of Latvia's most popular poets, Imants Ziedonis. It was published in the collection "Motorcycle" in 1965. Ziedonis' poetry was an example of independent and free thinking for many people in Latvia during Soviet times, inspiring them not to make peace with routine and stagnation. When it comes to the power of the visual language and the high level of cinematographic perfection, we must thank the director Jānis Nords, winner of the Big Kristaps prize, and the cameraman Jurģis Kmins.
The “Adventure Ride” horses Lady and Kevin patiently and skilfully played their roles, while horse specialist Daina Luksa was the one to sit on the saddle so that we can all enjoy a crazy ride during the Latvian winter.
Hang on, boys, this will be a long and crazy trip!
