DDB harvest of ADWARDS 2015 – 8 FINALISTS, 2 MEDALS AND 2 Young LIONS

DDB Latvia had the largest number of projects to become finalists in this year's Adwards creative excellence festival, with eight projects being included – the series of Vision Express brand clips, the LMT content platform “In Villages,” the Okarte digital solution “Predicting Conversations,” the BALTA CASCO radio ad, the Red Jackets brand identity, the Eco Baltia bell project, the Just5 ad series, and the LMT Spotify clip. A full list of finalists can be found here.
BALTA CASCO radio received a silver medal, and we are delighted about that because radio awards are very rare. Another silver medal went to the Just5 ad series, which we created in partnership with the Film Angels Studio and director Roberts Kuļenko. The Pioneer Award for the most courageous client this year went to none other than our client – LMT.
We just cannot express sufficient pride about our two young lions, Renārs Liepiņš and Jānis Lazds-Lazdiņš, both of whom won the “Young Lions” competition in the cyber category and thus won the right to represent Latvia’s digital “Young Lions” solution at the world’s most prestigious advertising festival, Cannes Lions.
The Adwards team says that over the course of the past decade, DDB Latvia has won 25 medals and is among those agencies in Latvia to have received the greatest number of awards.
The Adwards 2015 festival had some 300 submissions, and 28 of them received medals. The chairman of the jury this year was the creative director for the Guilty/Grey agency, Armands Leitis. He was joined on the jury by professionals from Latvia’s advertising and marketing agencies, as well as by creative directors from leading European agencies.
