The Button that does good

The Button that does good

Our first reality checks in life appear when we are very young, and each of us has his or her own checks. Some kids realise that under the beard of Santa Claus is a neighbour who is pretty good at playing the role. Someone else may demonstrate the first stages of critical thinking in wondering how on earth the Easter bunny can lay all those eggs.

Fairy tales, however, are imbued with primeval power, containing truths and wisdom that lead us, the readers, to think about our lives and perhaps to become just a teeny bit better.

We told fairy tales when we worked on a campaign related to the POGA rehabilitation centre and the support that was given to it by the MAXIMA chain. The storytelling role was entrusted to Button itself, bringing it to life and assigning it the important mission of giving people and opportunity to do good.

Button, like each of us, sometimes thinks about everyday routine and the purpose of life: Home-work-home or, in the case of Button, shirts-pants-jackets.

Sometimes Button thinks about friendship, realising that nothing can stand in the way of true friendship and good intentions.

Right now we have precisely 9,996 reasons to believe that fairy tales come true. That is the sum that has been donated to the rehab centre at MAXIM stores, on the Ziedot.lv homepage and by ringing a charity phone number.

The strength of the fairy tales that are told by Button is that they are based on real events which happen in each of us every day and from day to day. We want to be better, and www.centrspoga.lv is one way to do so.
