The last Champion Breakfast #22 of the year full of tension

The last Champion Breakfast #22 of the year full of tension

Each concept, like each symbol, has both a positive and a negative side. That is also true when it comes to tension. Tension creates exacerbated emotions and stress, as was the case after the terrorist attack in Paris. On the other hand, tension is absolutely necessary when there are new challenges and achievements. Marketing is no exception.

The topic of tension about events this year and next year in terms of geopolitical, war-related and refugee-related issues in the world was brought up by Associate Professor Daunis Auers at the University of Latvia. He presented surprising facts about the fact that the number of conflicts in the world has declined over the last 25 years in the world, while Latvia will change by becoming more militarised.

DDB Latvia strategic planner Tatjana Baranovska treated us to very different tension – tension related to marketing and people. These are contradictions when we want a relationship, but are afraid to take a risk or want someone else to love us while we only want to talk about ourselves.

Dessert was a discussion with Drive eO project director Kristaps Dambis about the experience and challenge of creating the world’s fastest electronic car, which can be used to scale a mountain that is 4,300 metres above sea level and win first prize by beating such automobile manufacturing grandees as Toyota and Mitsubishi.

We wish you all a New Year full of positive tension. See you at the 23rd Champion Breakfast in 2016!
