The most influential brands chart is now available in a new beta version

Changing with the times and the social media environment, DDB Latvia has developed a new version of the most influential brands chart. Unlike the previous version, the new version places emphasis on how brands have succeeded in attracting their followers (started following, shared or commented on a brand’s piece of news, mentioned a brand, etc.), instead of just focusing on the number of followers.
“One of the prevailing trends of the past year has been the desire of brands to collect a huge number of followers. And yes, of course, statistics can always be duped with the help of various competitions, bet when the followers have actually appeared, brands often keep quiet and don’t really know what to do with these fans. We want to teach that the most important thing is to engage your audience and to get people to follow you, because they find you interesting," explains DDB Latvia Strategic Planner Artis Krilovs.
The new principles for the compilation of the chart have highlighted the active and successful activity of several brands. “We see that various niche brands like “Stylish shoes” on the social network Draugiem.lv have obtained very good results. As industry people, we sometimes fail to appreciate “the little ones”, but they communicate very openly and well which has helped them to reach a genuinely large audience," notes Krilovs.
