Another fruitful year at the Adwards festival

In advertising, just like in sports, the result is always important. And this year at the Latvia's Creative Excellence Festival "Adwards 2017”, 5 of our works turned out to be especially successful – LiveRiga video "Go on a journey with a taxi driver", and "The priest’s path" received the highest honour. While "Modern fairy tales by LMT", LiveRiga video "The women’s blogger pitstops", as well as CSDD "Life belt" received the second highest honour.

Nine of our works got into the final altogether, which is the second most successful result between the agencies; because of this, we are also proud of our finalists – LiveRiga "Rebellious trip with the senior", LMT "Two classical values in one" and Latvijas Zaļais punkts "Nationwide Sortathlon". We want to extend special gratitude to the people, because, regardless of the fact that "Zeltiņš Laivā" took the lead for a while and received an honour, everyone demonstrated a level of support to this campaign that would rival that of the Olympic Games and kept it at the peak of the People’s vote. In the end, recycling is a sport of the people, and because of this, the recognition of the people is our highest reward.

We also want to extend heartfelt gratitude to our clients and collaboration partners, with whose trust, openness and participation, our works can qualify for international recognition. We are sure that this process is exactly what led us to this result and if there were to be an honour for collaboration, you would definitely deserve a Grand Prix from us. Congratulations to our colleagues in other agencies as well; we are glad to raise the bar of advertising together.

The creative excellence festival Awards took place for the 12th consecutive year. This year 200 works were submitted to be evaluated by an international panel of judges consisting of agency representatives from Latvia and other countries, led by Rodrigo Sobral – vice-president and executive director of R/GA London. The main criteria, as always, was creativity and execution. Even though Latvians have a saying "Good work is work done", we fully realise that "Even better work is not yet done". This is why we take away everything we can from this festival to not only raise the bar of our upcoming work even higher and keep earning honours and the recognition of judges, but also to try to really influence and improve the quality of life of those influenced by these advertisements.
