LIDO stands up for what is real

At a time when media form their own version of reality, social networks are full of beautiful and successful people and technologies show us an unprecedentedly gorgeous world, it is only natural that a countermovement is formed. A countermovement that seeks something genuine, natural and real.

Latvia’s favourite catering brand LIDO was ready to raise the flag and stand up for real values – for non-artificial food, made and served on the same day; for what gives us energy and lets us live a full life.

In a video featuring provocative questions, we asked people to think about what real values mean. In our environmental ads we stressed the values of LIDO – real, natural and fulfilling.

While on social media we published longer story videos: the Head of our company’s product development department Ilga Joma let us take a sneak peek behind the stage of LIDO, the nutrition specialist of LIDO Alise Kindzule shared the most common eating mistakes and gave suggestions on how to prevent them, and the company’s sponsored athlete Laura Ikauniece-Admidiņa inspired us with her perseverance and let slip valuable information on the nutrition of athletes.

During the campaign we also made a modern lido.lv web page, into which we incorporated a nutrition calculator, to make it easier to understand how much energy and nutrients one needs to intake daily and how big your selected LIDO food portion is in relation to the suggested daily ration.

The campaign was very successful on social media – the unique view count is over 900 000, while the audience participation has reached almost 8000. At the same time the campaign helped increase financial results – the turnover of LIDO restaurants has risen by 6 % during the campaign.
