DDB Latvia and Nordea create an unheard of service campaign

This summer, in collaboration with DDB Latvia, Nordea Bank has launched an audacious service campaign, in which it presents itself to the public for the first time in an unusual light for the banking sector. Nordea Bank’s own employees were actively involved in the creation of Nordea’s advertising materials, posing for outdoor posters and other materials as various world famous people and personalities. Eagle-eyed viewers out there will spot Michael Schumacher, Albert Einstein, David Copperfield, Princess Diana, Valentina Tereshkova, Freddy Mercury, Chuck Norris, Gandhi and Trinity.

The idea is based on the current trend on social networks whereby users share their favourite quotes and insights from world famous personalities. In the opinion of DDB and Nordea, this was the sharpest and, as it turned out, most successful way to explain the bank’s values, and to address a bigger section of the general public.

Within the parameters of the campaign, a Facebook app was also developed in which everyone can find the insight closest to their heart, under which they are ready to put their name. 

During the campaign, the Nordea homepage’s service section was visited by almost 10,000 times. The number of Nordea Facebook users also doubled and there was a significant increase in the activity of followers. 

To date, the service campaign app has been used by a total of almost a thousand people, stepping into the shoes of world famous stars as Marilyn Monroe, Chuck Norris, Elvis Presley and others. The most popular app character has turned out to be legendary actress Audrey Hepburn, whose character affirms that everyone deserves to feel great!
