IQ Camp in the very best traditions

For the last nine years, summers have been unimaginable without the legendary DDB Latvia IQ camp. This time, we headed far away from both Rīga - to a wonderful guest house named Sārnate - and from the day-to-day life of the agency, in order to relax and enjoy some quality time together, gaining new impressions and listening to thought-provoking and inspiring speeches.
The first speaker was one of Prudentia’s founders: Ģirts Rungainis. He shared his thoughts about Latvia’s development, crisis and potential - both in a historical and global context. His speech was short and to the point, occasionally harsh, at other times side-splittingly funny, but concurrently extremely inspiring about how everything is possible in Latvia – all that remains is to do it.
The second guest was the philosopher and publisher of the magazine Rīgas Laiks, Arnis Rītups, who surprised us with a provocative question – how many times in your life have you actually thought? True thinking, in Rītups’ opinion, is clear and enduring in time and is accompanied by joy. True thought cannot be imagined; you can only prepare the soil for its "coming", using a few effective instruments. One of them of which is "Never forget your lack of knowledge, sin and death". Deep and thought-provoking.
In turn, through his songs musician Haralds Sīmanis sang the story of life, touching not only the strings of his guitar, but also those of our soul. Sad, beautiful, true and life-affirming.
Of course, as in a proper camp, there were also sports activities, dances, conversations and more dances until dawn. You can see how much we enjoyed ourselves by viewing the IQ camp photo report.
