DDB Latvia campaign shortlisted for the prestigious Euro Effie Awards

Well, it has finally happened! Among the 11 countries that are shortlisted for the prestigious Euro Effie Awards is the name of Latvia. The campaign hasn’t only beaten Stanford, but also many other countries, including Lithuania and Estonia, which have entered the competition.
SSE Riga Alumni Association and DDB Latvia have developed a two year campaign which convinced the jury whose decisions are based on 80% of the achieved results and only 20% of creativeness. And it’s not without reason!
In two years’ time the campaign Let's Beat Stanford has achieved the ambitious goal - to beat the famous Stanford University, which is considered as the leading fundraiser in the world. This means only one thing - in cooperation with DDB Latvia, SSE Riga Alumni Association has become the most generous donor in Europe for the second year!
The campaign's main character is SSE Riga mascot Hardy Rock who challenged for a fight and won over other prestigious European and U.S. high school mascots. Every time SSE Riga alumni donation surpassed the challenged university, Rock Hardy sent warm congratulations and added to a trophy wall the other university’s mascot!
