DDB Latvia participate in the Latvian Song and Dance Festival

The centennial Song and Dance Festival was undeniably a special event for Latvia, and for the DDB Latvia team as well. We unleashed all of our creative and organizational prowess in order to fully experience this event with our clients. We danced through it, sang through it and lived through it, each in our own way. So we can honestly claim, we were up to our ears in music.

We ignited the celebrations in every house, garden and even the festival’s opening ceremony march with Elektrum’s friendly energy. We positively charged the festival participants at special Elektrum energy stations with greetings that the public sent in (and some that we created). As you know, where there is energy, there are celebrations!

Hand in hand with LMT, we encouraged everyone to raise their chin up high, straighten their back, put their foot down, and disprove myths about Latvians, which we fall prey to. What else, if not these massive celebrations of togetherness prove that we are a bold and great nation? If we can succeed at the Song & Dance Festival, we can succeed always!

Together with LIDO, we gave people who were not festival participants the chance to dance and sing their hearts out as well. Where? Firstly, at the LIDO Recreational Center, which became the ‘loudest people’s dance stage’. Secondly, at LIDO Vērmanītis’ opening ceremony, where customers could show off their musical skills by the cash registers. In exchange for a song or dance, they received a 50% discount on their food. Festive, right?

An important part of any party, of course, is the clean-up at the end. Together with Latvijas Zaļais Punkts we reminded people to keep an eye out for the recycling containers and to be responsible with their trash. In Mežparka stadium people could find out more about sorting trash, as well as take a 360° virtual tour of the Getliņi waste landfill.

Last, but not least - together with Circle K we encouraged people to enjoy their favorite type of coffee in special festival cups, which they could memorialize in photos while travelling throughout Latvia. Because you can also celebrate while being on the road!

We’d like to say a massive thank you to our partners for believing in us and we look forward to singing and dancing together in 2023!
