Fairy Tales Never Grow Old, but Telephones do!

Fairy Tales Never Grow Old, but Telephones do!

It’s no secret that one year in the technology world is equal to five years in our world, and a telephone that seemed to be very hard working last Christmas may not seem as eager to do so this year. So this year, when we’re talking about LMT smartphones at a particularly good price, we decided that technologies are not and will never be eternal. The good news, however, is that there is no shortage of values that live beyond eras and the world of technologies. Folk stories, however, do not.

Latvian children all know the stories about Sprīdītis, Crazy Dauka or Ansis from the story about the copper coin. We all know characters like that. Crazy Dauka would be an eager young man who would inspire all of us with his courage, Sprīdītis would head off to other countries to seek his fortune, while Ansis would come to the realisation that it’s better to move along with life, as opposed to getting carried away with “likes” and “shares.”

Modern fairy tales are performed by the group Deeply Violet, which includes Aija Vītoliņa and Elza Rozentāle.
