Latvia’s Export Treasures Bound in Hard Covers

Latvia’s Export Treasures Bound in Hard Covers

The Red Jackets, which is an export facilitation movement, has released its second volume of “Treasures of Latvia – Outstanding Export and Inspiring Talents.” The volume features inspirational brands and companies from all kinds of sectors that have proven their sustainability in their domestic market and in terms of exports.  The book is more than 200 pages long.

“Treasures of Latvia” tells a unified story, presenting the unrepeatable experience of each company director and the unique individuals whom they have nominated as sources of inspiration for themselves. Released once a year, the volumes also speak to Latvian culture and sports. Among the individuals who have been nominated by businesspeople are the painter Janis Rozentāls, the ballet dancer Māris Liepa, the opera diva Inese Galante, the basketball player Kristaps Porziņģis, the tennis player Ernests Gulbis, the athlete Laura Ikauniece-Admidiņa, and many others who have brought Latvia’s name into the world.

Before Latvia’s centenary in 2018, the Red Jackets movement hopes to correlate Latvia’s 100 most distinguished export brands and to publish the third volume of “Treasures of Latvia.” So far, 50 companies have received the title of the best export brand in Latvia from the Red Jackets, while another 20 have been named as “Rising Stars.”

DDB Latvia helped to organise the Red Jackets movement, and we are very proud of the brands that carry Latvia’s story with them. That is the goal for the Red Jackets – the create a unified, interesting and understandable story about Latvia as a country of origin, thus encouraging exporters to share the story at the international level.
