This year 27 students have received grants donated by SSE Riga graduates
On Saturday, 10 November, to the genuine delight of the students concerned, grants donated with the help of the donation platform: http://donate.alumni.lv was presented.
This unique platform and positive donation campaign have made it possible to surpass the activity indicators of graduates from Europe’s most prestigious universities. The project’s effectiveness this year was underlined in the Password Effie 2012 competition in which the innovative SSE Riga Alumni donation platform received not only the highest award in the social campaigns category, but also the Grand Prix!
In August this year, we announced that a globally unique donation platform had been established thanks to the efforts of the DDB Latvia team and Raimonds Kulbergs, a graduate of the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. Its objective was to collect donations for the development of higher education and to initiate positive competition between university graduates, publicly depicting the relative breakdown in the size of donations according to graduation years, countries and individual donors.
During the campaign, we managed to engage 33% of former SSE students which turned out to be the best result in Europe. A total of EUR 92,000 was donated.
