This year we will run the Nordea Riga Marathon with a song

It’s a well known fact that we can organize the Song Festival. We can also coordinate the Song and Dance Festival, but why shouldn’t we have a Song and Running festival as well?

Especially this year, when Nordea Riga Marathon is an official part of the “European Capital of Culture: Riga 2014” programme with a special kilometre of culture on Brivibas Street. Therefore, themes of running and singing are profound to this year’s communications.

In a collaboration with the lead singer of PER Ralfs Eilands, we created a catchy video, but for the posters we put together runners’ tracks with singers’ staffs. For print, we literally tried running out the famous Latvian song “Bēdu manu lielu bēdu”.

To leave participants’ worries behind, we have also launched an app that was made by Cube. It is already available in the App store, but more detailed information will be published in mid-April. It’s a great tool for both runners and fans, as all the necessary information and other perks can be accessed from one place.

Sounds good? There’s more to follow; any time soon in collaboration with radio Pieci, there will be created a playlist specifically for the marathon. Listen up all the runners, follow the happenings and may the preparations be tuneful!

There are no doubts that this will be the most songful marathon in the history. If not in the world, then definitely in Latvia.
